Question Same wheels front and rear?

Whats the effect of having same size wheels front and rear?

Just saw someone with 7" all round

That was the norm until the SC. Before the SC only a handfull of street cars were equipped with bigger rears. The 73 RS was the first.

Larger rears tend to reduce oversteer. So 7s all 'round give it more of the tail happy ride of the earlier cars.

Depends. Are the tire sizes staying the same?

For most 911's prior to the SC in 1978, same size front and back was normal.

In a catolog, published by one of Wayne's competitors is a great chart that lists how handling is changed, and by what. It is more a quick and dirty guide than detailed instructions, but it is helpfull. Here is a digital pic of the chart.



The quality isn't great, but it is readable.

Thanks guys, guess that explains it. The car I saw it on was a mid 70's I think.
