Headlight relay kit for 1971 911

Is it easy enough to adapt the J.West headlight relay kit for a 1971 911? I assume the wiring is the same I don't see why the kit should be labeled for 74 through 89?

Yes it's very easy and a must.

I adapted it to my 1973.5, not too difficult a job. The replacement switch for the column is rather expensive, I highly recommend doing it.

It's labeled that way because of the orientation of the panels compared to earlier models. I made it work for my 72, all you do is mount the relays in a different spot.

I installed it on my '69 with no modifications necessary. It's a great kit, clean install, and makes a very noticeable difference in how bright the headlights are. Very strongly recommended.

You won't have any trouble, and you won't regret it.

Can anyone provide some more details on what wires go where when you used the kit? I have been reading up on some other installs and still very confused. Any photos or schematics would be helpful.

We now offer a "universal" kit to fit everything besides the '74-'89. A bit longer wires with the relevant terminals included but not installed and instructions a little more geared for a semi-custom fit.

The orginal kit is so specific (for super easy install in those cars) that it does not lend itself well to figuring out and adapting to other years.

It is the same price as the later kit, just ask Pelican to get it from us.
