Grady Clay
I sincerely hope I am not being rude or disrespectful to Grady in enquiring about his seeming absence from the forum as of late. I miss his directness, thoughtful comments, & sage advice on just about any technical questions I & other members have had regarding their cars & attendant mechanical issues. Do any of you folks know of Grady's present status (for lack of better words)? I feel I am not the only one wondering. I hope all is well with him.
Cheers JB

You are not the only one wondering about Grady. I hope he is well and, too bad for us, directing his attention elsewhere.

Last online here just last week, although last post was back in May.
I hope it's just a case of boredom. At this point, what hasn't been answered on the forum anyway. I've been here 11 years and lurking longer than that... it's more community than tech now, Really the Search button has made the New Post button extraneous.

True.
When Grady Clay answers a question though, we are getting information from a man who has worked, raced and rubbed shoulders with P-car folks we read biographies about. I hope all is well.

Grady is a terrific guy and a treasure of historical Porsche information.
After he did not respond to calls and emails, I called him. At that time he was fine, but just really busy. Grady has adopted children later in life, and I think that they keep him busy! Dickson

Agreed Matt, funny I was just thinking the same. I used to have his number but misplaced it. One of us locals should check in.

One of my regrets....living in Monument, Colorado for three years and never taking the time to go meet him.

Just wondering the same thing a few days ago. Maybe someone local may have some info. One of the top experts in this forum for sure. Hope all is well.

I always read a post by Grady, even if I normally would skip that subject. His posts are always well written and full of knowledge and experience.
I hope he's of good health and enjoying his cars and family if he isn't here!

I believe this is Grady's father's obit. Passed away earlier this year. Reasonable he has more important things to deal with. All the best to you and your family, Mr. Clay.

Really?
I contacted him 3 weeks ago by email and got good advice about a Denver Porsche shop and got an invitation to lunch. |

I talked with Grady about two weeks ago, and he was as per normal. Will have lunch with him next time I'm in Denver.

My apology, with all the concern about Grady's well being, I misread your post and overlooked the reference to his father. I thank you for your kind correction.
