1970T antenna cable replacement?
Hi.
My original manual telescopic is ok but the cable needs replacing. The pin is still poking out the end on the underside of the antenna. Does this mean replacing the whole antenna or can I get away with a new cable and connectors? Should add that the end on the antenna is not the screw on type, if that makes any difference? I read the posts on replacing the whole antenna but couldn't find much on just a cable replacement? Thanks... Last edited by RyanH; 05-14-2014 at 06:02 PM.. |

I've never seen an antenna with a replaceable cable. But who knows, post a picture. A friend of mine had to remove his door to replace his. Hopefully that won't be the case with your car.

The manual antenna I took out of my 83 SC had a replaceable cable.

Hi.
Just wanted to revive this? I now have the antenna out, without removing the door! The antenna is not broken and I would like to re-use it if I can. My question is can another antenna cable be fitted to the original Hirschmann mast? Has anyone done this and re-fitted the old antenna? Thanks.. |
