something amazing about CIS
have you ever considered how tight the tolerance is between the piston in the fuel distributor and the barrel it slides in. that piston can freely move up and down but yet fuel does not leak past it, and under 6+bar of pressure. but yet have you ever fought an oil or water leak that has a gasket?
it things like this that I find fascinating about CIS. this has been presented by, "your thoughts, with jack handy"

My favorite part of CIS is the notion that "we don't want to be bothered with controlling the fuel so lets just shoot it at every cylinder all the time"

Carburetors did this forever so it's not like it's a totally new concept (all fuel/air, all the time)
