carrera tensioner install question - is this gap normal?

I don't remember this the last time I did a tensioner change to pressure fed. is this gap between the idler and the tensioner supposed to be there? same on both sides. newer style idlers. thanks, Don.

When I did my engine I had the same question.

I was recommended to put a washer/spacer that has a porsche number.

I can look into it if you want at least the part number.

Normal just check the idler Wheel is dead center whith chain and it will stay that way .
