I’m installing a new front harness. I’m having trouble which i believe is all coming from my dash headlight switch wiring. Does anyone have a diagram for that switch for a 71 or a detailed photo ?
What’s happening is this. My dash lights come on with the key but when you pull the light switch the dash lights go out. Then parking lights do not come on until light switch is pulled to “headlights on” location. High beams are turned on when the blinker is turned on. Andy, people have posted the wiring diagrams in the Forum, so do a search trying several key words. Also try your favorite search engine on the internet as they are posted in other forums too. It does sound like you got some wires misconnected.
Second, make damn sure you have good grounds.
