You have at least .4 in 60' time and with that trap speed you could be low 11's

Shouldn't the title more correctly read My3.4 Turbo.... ? I know no 3.2 will do that kind of speed but how about truth in advertising? Corporations lie to us all the time, I come here for a little truth - not much - just a little. Rant off. Nice mods on your car.

No 3.2 could do that? I find that hard to believe knowing 1.8L VW's run faster on front wheel drive. Certainly possible for a 3.2 G50 massaged just right. Anyway you slice it that trap speed indicates serious power for a street car. My $.02.

And he's smart enough to do this at the drag strip...versus in an industrial park!

We have a good time around here. No reason to say no to trying anything new especially when it comes to the 911. Be creative. Have fun and do what you want.

Had many 'vettes, no thanks. What's wrong with drag racing a 911 that can take it? AX's are boring and my car is terrible for those, I'll stick to road courses.

He doesn't drive your 911 there, isn't he?
Exactly.

It would be a monster on a track. Hope it has brakes to pull all that kinetic energy back out of the car after having it put in so fast!

In the 80s we used to take the road racing cars to the drag strip to get the data off the combination. (And poke fun at the wrinkle wall guys...) Part of the fun was to see if you could get the car slowed down so you could make the first turn around.
One team member had a Mazda R100 with an 11a that would run in the 9s all day. Porsche A brakes, less then 1200 pounds, and flames out the passenger door on down shifts. Stupid fun!
HAHA, exactly.

Yeah, a friend who tunes claims the reduction in 60' time doubles for overall 1/4 mile. I haven't analyzed enough slips to verify, but that lines up with what you say too.

My car was originally a regular Carrera 3.2 with different P&C's. NOTHING else is different from stock. If I had a 2.7, I would have stated it was a 2.7 too.

Thanks, there's still room for improvement peak HP wise I will address shortly. Need to port the exhaust housing since it's restrictive and building too much back pressure and use a lot larger air filter. I have a tiny air filter that is probably restrictive too.

Yes, being around cars all my life, I've been around just about all. I like my 911 to do more than one thing.

I found this video particularly interesting. A "slightly" modified 964 taking down tt Gallardos. I live in Charlotte and see the Underground Racing cars all the time. They are a sight to behold, but this video is pretty amazing.

That's Eddie Bello's car, he's a member. Post some times in the 930 section.

Tippy, I'm a drag racer from way back ... you could easily get a 1.6 60' time in street tires or drag radials. With that mph your car must love rpm.

No slouch can drive a manual car to 11's, screw anyone that looks down on drag racing, invite them to try and laugh your a$$ off when they make a fool out of themselves. They've never seen a track, they watch Jack Olsen videos.

HAHA, so true. They either haven't tried it, or did so bad and understand it's hard to get good numbers, so they just make negative comments about drag racing 911's. Either way, I have thick skin and it doesn't bother me the least bit.

But that's ok, it takes all kinds.

Thanks for the compliment.
