What do you mean by "burnt fuel" smell? Exhaust is nothing but burnt fuel. Do you mean the exhaust smells rich? Mine often smells rich at idle, but I read somewhere that it was better for aircooled cars to be slightly rich.

exhaust smell

I read over the last few years about many pelicans that , like myself, have modified their exhaust set up to include pre mufflers and free flow mufflers and supplementing it with a sw chip.
I just do not believe that I am the only one that has an smell emitting from their exhaust...and can not provide their opinion as to how they are dealing with it.
