What Color is This?

This is my friend's dad's 1980 911 SC. We're not sure what color it is and he cannot check to see if there's a paint code somewhere, but he and I would really appreciate it if someone could tells us what color it might be from this picture.

Thanks!

Definitely looks like it could be Slate Blue. But it's hard to tell from the lighting/picture. Any other pics in different light settings? There are times when my Venetian Blue looks quite similar.

I'll see if I can get him to send me another pic. We're on two different sides of the country.

Ok he sent me a picture of this car he found online. He says the color on this car is called "Iris Blue" and that the SC's color looks just like this one.

Okay here's an actual picture of the car in direct sunlight. Either that or another online photo.

Well, if they are the same car, then some changes have been made between photos.

In any case, that does kind of look like Iris. Slate is less "silvery", IMO.

Yeah, disregard the most recent photo, I just noticed how different they look. The photo in the first post is the most recent pic I believe.

Those are 3 entirely different cars depicted so far.

For 1980, I would guess Hellblau Metallic also called Light Blue Metallic
Paint code is 30T

Agree...30T...Light Blue Metallic. Iris Blue is subtly more blue. Here are a couple of pics of my Light Blue (30T) Targa in different light:

The op car looks quite original, check in the trunk for the paint code on pass side opposite the battery area and post it
