Engine Tin: On berfore reinstall engine?

I removed the engine tin before dropping the engine and that was not too difficult. I'm wondering if I should install it before re-installing the engine or wait until the engine is bolted back up.

Just checking to see what the norm is.......Thanks!

I dropped my motor with the tin in place and installed the tin again before installing the motor.
Not sure if that is the norm but it worked for me!
Cheers

Much easier to install it to the motor while it is out. Just take a good look at where some of the bolts need to go and you will see why.
Sounds like you are getting close to "go time" :)

if replacing either of the rubber air seal pieces you're going to want that tin in place or it wont be nearly as easy

Definitely install all engine tin before installing your motor. During installation take care to insure that the lower flap of the engine bay seal fits alongside of the tin (pointing down), and the upper flap lies on top of the tin. Also, be careful to not trap wire harnesses or fuel lines between the engine and car body as you lift the engine into place.

Thanks all!

I will install the tin first. I'm installing PMO's and Electromotive so the wiring harness is completely different than before (actually, much simpler).

Since this is my first engine drop, I want as much info as possible before I goof it up.

Thanks :)
