Question Wiring harness to front turn signal/parking lamps - Question

Hello Pelicans...
Am in the process of putting everything back together on the front of '86 911 (the front bumper already was missing several turn signal and parking lamps) and replaced all of them. Upon putting front bumper along with all 4 turn/parking lamps already on the front bumper and bolt on and getting ready to hook up the 3 prong connectors to the wiring harness that should from the main body...and could not even FIND any "hanging" wiring connectors from the main body to hook up the turn/parking lamps??? Is there any secret passage that connect 3 prongs to hook up to/connect to the body or what??? I do not see any wires that were cut by previous owners...
Perhaps you know or any advise will be greatly appreciated like maybe a wiring diagram or picture so I can get a clear idea of where to hook those turn signal/parking lamps connectors to... Thank you!

Remove your headlamps yet?
All may be revealed when you do.

Here are the factory original wires in my '79SC headlight buckets. Basically all light wires go to the headlight bucket first and from there the side marker and directional light wires go to those lights:

I don't know though whether your wires are the same.

Ahhh! That should answer to my question! Nice and CLEARLY illustrated diagram picture It will be very handy for all others to see as well!
Since you mentioned "I don't know though whether your wires are the same"
As far as I am sure they are all (should be) the same from 1974 and up to '89 911/930. And many thanks for your advise and cutting the chase of looking further while they are actually right behind the headlamp area on the front fenders...Only did it ONCE a few years back and must have forgotten where the signal/parking wiring goes...eh! Will know next time...THANKS porwolf!

Big Thanks to Porwolf,

I was having an issue with my left front turn signal, with the aid of his headlight bucket wiring photo and a wiring diagram on the Pelican site I was able to track the problem down to a loose wire on the fuse panel to the #10 fuse.

Again Thanks
Jim

Question - Main harness -- see pics below.

Just took off the headlights as instructed - Guess that wiring harness in porwolf early '79 911sc is different than later '84-'87 911's. Have no idea which connectors to connect the turn/parking lights wiring harness (see 4th pic below of 3 prongs connectors Yellow/Green stripe/ Yellow/Blue).

Also where can I hook up fog lights wiring harness to? See 3rd pic. of inside headlight housing on the fender - there is a hole on the very bottom - is it for water drainage? Or just for fog light harness to go thru this hole? Or does the fog light harness with 2 prong connectors go to different location along on the body somewhere?

Perhaps one of you might want to pin point on those main wiring harness color code (what are they for and which ones for turn/parking signal harness (also fog lights harness as well) to hook up to the main wiring harness as seen in the FIRST pic.. Any help or advise will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

BUMP - Finally at LAST!! Figured out the left side 2 prong wiring is actually FOG LIGHT harness (left side hole inside of the headlight housing that was installed by previous owner - wrong location!! And took the fog light harness out and installed correct turn/parking harness into the left side hole and now it is cleared up. But one more thing - Can anybody tell me where to connect 3 prongs (in 4th pic) Yellow/Green stripe & Yellow & Blue to the headlight main harness ??? Do not see any Yellow/Green & Yellow and Blue in the porwolf 79 911sc pics. Anybody know for later model Carrera ?? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Would you mind sharing which wire went where? I am in the process of replacing a turn signal. The wiring harness on the old signal is different from the new signal. The new signal has the same color coded wires that you show in your #4 photo. Thanks.

Good information - I'm in the process of troubleshooting all of the lighting on a 1979SC. So the gray bundle of wires from the headlight to parking light has 3 wires..makes sense for dual element. Can someone please explain what the two male spade connectors coming out of the back of the parking/blinker assembly are for? There are some hanging wires that look like they could go there, but the passenger side parking/blinker works with nothing connected to these, yet the driver side needs one of these grounded....... Not sure whats going on so if anyone could explain what those male spade connectors are for, that would be great!

Thanks,
Kelly

For reference, the Green/Yellow and Blue are LEFT low beam and high beam power respectively and the Brown is headlight ground.

On the RIGHT side the colors are Yellow and Blue/White.

There are headlight wires, turn signal wires and side marker wires. The color of the wires in question would help ID them.

I can't recall the colors of the hanging wires on the car, but in the pictures below, you can see the two male spade connectors coming off of the back of the parking/turn light housing. Does anyone know what these are for?

Thanks,
Kelly

They are for connecting the extra side running lights of US cars. (Second fixture)
One should be the running lamp power and the other ground

Thanks Dennis.

I must have a problem with the three pair coming from the headlight housing - will investigate further.

I'm doing a couple backdates and employing the repro front 69-73 turn signal housings, so I am taking the bare wires from those and connecting to the G-body harness.

If anyone has done this already, I could use some direction. If not, I'll figure it out and report here if there is interest.

If you haven't followed the couple threads about 3D printed signal light housings and LED lights, you might check those out before buying the repro metal ones.
