Power surge / drop in '87
Recently I have noticed that my '87 Carrera seems to have a slight power surge. This surge manifests itself as an audible tone change in the fan speed and dimming of both the head / dash lights. On a rare occasion, the battery light will flicker here and there at very low revs (750)... I have not looked at the ground strap or connections of anything yet but hope to soon. Any input is greatly appreciated.

This sounds like a loose fan belt.
