Winter projects
... for the old girl ('74)
Change Tunnel fuel line (NOT looking forward to this one!) '74 was a bad year for this... Pull pedal cluster and change throttle linkage bushings, as well as remaining ball cup joints. Install Sein Gate while the tunnel is open. Pull alternator and hopefully I've got the "if you're lucky replaceable brushes model". Otherwise shove some lube wherever I can, bearings if possible and clean it all up. Pull CIS, check, re-seal, change lines, etc, then check pressures and set mixture (too lean now) Test, and possibly change Oil temp and pressure senders. Investigate installing a head temp gauge. Improve ducting from front valence to oil cooler - add fan. Send remaining gauges for refreshing to Seattle Speedometer. Install MSD ignition system Find whatever in tarnation is clunking around on hard cornering. I'm thinking someone (maybe me) dropped a socket in the tunnel, or inside a rocker or somewhere.... it's driving me nuts! Re-skin Targa Top Look into a better seat with 6 pt harness for track days. Make and install door panels, pockets, etc. Re- work heater - defrost - fresh air system. Going full manual - no fan. Delete ashtray, make svelte knee guard - clean up dash. That should keep me busy for a few days... What's on your list? -C
