Question 911 glove box door removal

Can someone please give me directions on how to remove the glove box door on my 77 911S ??
Help would be appreciated!

I believe to be able to get the glove box door off you will have to remove the glove box to get to the hardware that holds the door on. The glove box is held in place by a strap with a adjustable screw like a hose clamp has. Naturally you would have to remove any wires or hoses that may be in the way of droping the glove box down from it position.

There are a couple bolts that come up from under the kneepad that hold the glove box door hinge to the frame. I had to remove the knee pad to gain access to these bolts on my 78. The box itself is removed by the strap as stated above.

I'm doing this now as part of a weight reduction program on my 85.
If there is any interest, I could post instructions and pics.
Knee pad, box, and to make matters easier, the kick panel, and the foot well blower ducts should be removed. Bentley says remove the radio. Mine was already out, but I can see where it would facilitate matters to access the left knee pad 8mm retaining nut.
