944 S2 Brakes
A freind of mine recently offered me a set of front brakes off a 944 S2. Are these any use at all to me? Just to clarify, they are not the same as the 964 Brembos are they?

Thanks for the linls guys. I've got those pages bookmarked, but I couldn't see any info on the 944 calipers. Anybody?

The 944T had a version of the basic Brembo caliper f/r. The MO30 option and 944 ST had a version of the S4/993 caliper in the front and the basic caliper in the back.
The 944S2 used the same version of the basic Brembo as the 87 on 944T used, ie front is axial mount 36/40 rear is axial mount 28/30 very similar to the 964 calipers(external transfer pipes and bleeds are reversed). They can be used on a 911 w/ 930 rotors if they are machined and w/ proper adapters. There are easier more satisfactory ways to get better brakes though.
