Please not that the wheels do have Porsche crest embossed wheel caps but the lighting and resolution of the photo hide that detail.

The wheels were previously painted with Plasti-dip vintage gold (matte) to determine if I liked gold wheels on my black car (I do), but for the "permanent" paint I wanted a deeper gold color. I'll post another photo - these wheels on the car - but that will probably have to wait a few months now that winter weather has arrived.

Nice.

Thanks for posting all the specs. That really makes posts like these useful to the community.

Any rubbing in the front?

You're welcome. I included the details in the hope they would be found useful.

To answer your question:
At the current ride height (at or very close to Euro specs) there was a slight occasional rub in the front when hitting serious bumps, but that was alleviated by gently rolling the front fender lip between roughly 10:00 and 2:00.

A bit higher ride height and/or a stiffer front suspension would have also probably taken care of this, but the roads around here are lousy so I didn't want to go stiffer and the idea of raising the ride height more (say to US specs) just looks wrong, IMHO.

I really should wait till they are done, tires mounted and on the car... but I'm pretty excited. I just got this pic from the shop that's refinishing them. Will be on the car next week.

Those should look outstanding on your car. I am anxious to see the finished product.

Just out of curiosity, what gold paint is that?

Oh, BTW, I considered doing something like that to my stock Fuchs wheels, but I doubt I would have been able to do it as well as your shop did, and I also wanted to keep the original wheels original so I could put all of the stock parts back on when/if I wanted to.

I don't actually know the color . I gave the shop some pics of what I wanted. I'll update with color codes when I go to pick them up next week.

It’s going to take a little getting used to . Disregard the state of the garage.

Suggestion for your fourth set of wheels.

Easy maintenance, but kind of a rough ride.

I like that Robert. Sort of embracing the back to nature "wood" look that is very on-trend at the moment. Also it makes it a bit easier to spin the back wheels coming out or roundabouts.

Still love my Group4 LMZs! Never had so many comments on my wheels across any car before.
