What does this plug into?

So I was autocrossing for the first time and took all floormats/loose carpet out and noticed a wire coming from under the console not plugged into anything...Anyone have a guess what this plugs into? One thought was it might be for a subwoofer the previous owner had in an enclosure behind the driver seat...

Does your E brake light come on when engaged? To me it looks like the wire that connects to a switch on the back side of the E brake handle....

Do you have power seats? Look up under your seat for a connection. Heated seats?

That connector does not look familiar, Have you checked to see if it is live?

Think its for the seat belt receptacle warning light. Dash lights up if you aren't buckled.

I have the same disconnected plug in my 89 and have never figured out where it goes. Ive looked at the e-brake and auto heat control unit between the seats with no luck.

My '87 has the same un-plugged connector.

How funny is it that three of us have the same unplugged connector. I guess the car works fine...goes forward when I want and backward when I want ....so big picture I guess it doesn't need to be plugged into anything anyway...

I do have power seats but not heated so i'll try to look under the seat a little more to see what is there...

I will check the seat belt receptacle also...

I have the same unconnected wire on my '87. I seem to recall a thread from a few years ago that it is related to the seats...maybe heated or memory option (I have power driver seat but no heat or memory function)? I tried to find the thread but came up empty...

I don't have auto heat so I guess that's why it's not plugged in...thanks for tracking that down...

Unfortunately, due to one of my "senior" moments, I did not recall my correct response to the same question in this thread.
