I remember watching that Top Gear clip years ago and thinking "geez I'd be SO happy to have the opportunity to have that car and fix it and all they want to do make fun of it and then destroy it".

I thought the whole thing was awesome. Loved the angles, the slow mo, the "good looking gal" cringing, the whole deal. Inspired marketing. Nothing gets peoples attention faster than the destruction of an icon and they hit the mark. Yeah it is/was a wonderful car, but at the end of the day nothing lasts forever and this one died a star, so get over it.

Watch the vid. Roof is cut front to back down the middle.

Car was a roller from a bone yard spiffed up with some shiny paint.

It was not a classic. It was a tired-ass piece of crap.
