Removal of chrome surround of the heater control unit
Hi Guys,
I've surfed and I've surfed but came up blank. I'm replacing the dashboard aluminum trim and basket weave. How do I get this surround off? I assume I need it to come off as it laps over the dash trim. Thanks

The whole assembly needs to be loosened and brought forward, I seem to recall it was very fiddly working upside down releasing the cables to access mounting screws.

Take out the one bolt holding the assembly to the cowl and pull it out enough to get the fabric off. Put the new stuff on the same way.
