The search is over...
We have sealed the deal my next P-car. I pick her up Saturday afternoon. She's a '73 911T coupe with a '86 3.2 drivetrain. Many mods to suspension and brakes.
Any Pelicanheads near Ithica, NY let me know and maybe we can grab a bite to eat before the long drive home? Here's a pic.

T.H. Is the car from Italy or did the PO just like Italian lenses? Also what color is that?

Don't know about the lenses. The color is red, don't know about the paint code. He said is is brighter than the pictures show. Car was stored winters. He drove it 1,500 miles last year.

Looks great. You will love that early car. Careful they are addicting. If the car does have rust, usually its not too hard to replace if you have decent skills.

Congratulations Thrown,
A 3.2 in an early car. Sounds like fun. What brake mods have been done?Hope things go well Saturday. The drive home should be fun. (just watch out, with that engine the color of your car could turn into "Arrest Me Red")

Shawn,
Just yesterday I was wondering if the deal to sell your silver 911 went through. Guess it did. Nice looking early car. Looking forward to seeing it and showing you our "new" early car. It will have to wait till Spring cause they are both in storage now. Are you sure you want to drive from NY to IN on all those salt covered roads? Did you look in to shipping it?

Brian,
Are you coming to the PCA meet the members banquet in Feb? I am gonna drive it home and then clean it for six months. Kevin, I am taking Monday off work, come on over. Curt, I will see how things go, but I would like to go to the Glen. cul8r, It has the "S" alloy calipers and slotted rotors.

early car + 3.2 =
All it needs is a gasoline credit card, a radar detector and maybe a second set of 7s and 9s with track tires. Could be a little frustrating living in the Snow Belt and buying your P car at the start of winter.Looks like a good time! |
