OOOPS! What RPM kicks in the rev limit?

Well, finally got some decent weather so I thought I'd try to make the tire-frier video. Oh she fried all right - 1st gear is just too quick for me to shift out of at full throttle. The tires spun and the tach bounced off the rev limiter in the distributor.

So at what RPM does the limiter on a stock Euro distributor for a '78 930 kick in?

Nothing was hurt, car runs fine. Normal redline for this engine should be 6800 RPM. I have an SC tach that goes to 7000. It was briefly burried. The motor was just rebuilt using ARP studs and new valve springs. The video didn't turn out too good so I've got to do it again. This is not something I really enjoy doing with this car so I need to get it done and move on to normal (read high speed) driving.

Thanks for the input.
