The first time in my life I've regretted not having a current passport. Had a 30-second video schpiel all prepared in my mind and everything.

What do you think the 'challenge' is? And what is the new model?

Based on what he said in the video, I bet the new car is the unobtainable 991R

Well, as it happens, I'll be able to let you know. I was selected for this.
(Still pinching myself.) So -- as long as Porsche doesn't have me sign a non-disclosure agreement, I'll start a thread about it here and let everyone know how it goes. As of now, I don't know what the 'challenge' is going to be, or who the other driver they selected is. I don't know what the 'new model' of Porsche is. I don't know what the event in the Pyrenees is going to be. I don't even know where the Pyrenees are. All I know is that I am headed to Stuttgart in six days.

Congrats Jack.
Could be the new Cayman GT4 Clubsport single seater track car that they say in Issue 374 Christophorus is going to be released March 4.

Well done Jack. I would have applied, but I figure that my face is too pretty, and I am more difficult than tough. ;-)

Please do create a thread Jack, just the facts.
Congratulations, they must have really loved that garage of yours. I'll be living vicariously through whatever you post, Patrick Long is the guy to have a bromance with. |

Congrats Jack!
Regardless of what car you end up tracking... Hanging at a race track with Patrick is the golden ticket. This trip might help you find a tenth at Big Willow.

Sounds like a blast. Pat is a present fixture here in la with especially vintage Porsche stuff and a really cool guy to hang out with and talk 911s. He's a massive air cooled fan and of course an amazing driver to boot. Should be epic.

Hey Jack If you change your mind let me know,
as long as it is Pat Long, and Ignition is on the left side it is doable.
