Sunroof Maintenance

My sunroof is slow and requires a little help the last few inches. Is there a recommended lube maintenance and at what places?

DO NOT lube anything! It will only gum up the works and make things worse! There are many threads on the forum concerning sunroof problems. Use a Google Advanced search for "sunroof problems" and you will find many results.

Also, read this tech article on sunroofs and perhaps it will guide you in the right direction.

"Slow"... thinking either motor is worn, cable(s) are gummed up / screwed up, there's interference somewhere, or combo. Not sure what year you have but for a '79, only takes a few minutes to have the whole thing apart. Must be thread on this topic.
