I know there is a whole thread dedicated to exhaust sounds, and i'll post this there too but wanted to share the sound and my opinion of the Dasnk 1 in 1 out, 70mm muffler.
I wanted to beef up the sound of my car just a bit. Kinda loose the sewing machine sound, and make it sound worthy of the cars looks and reputation. I also didn't want to sacrifice comfort at cruise speeds. I didn't know what to expect from this Dansk, and frankly, i expected to be taking it right back off because it was too loud. I couldn't be more pleased with the sound ! If i had to compare it to something, it reminds me of the wet exhaust on a boat. From about 1200-1800rpm (2nd gear) the rumble/burble out the back is fantastic. Its not loud, but makes people on the corner look at what's sounding so exotic. I love it. Cruising down the HWY @75 and it's just as quiet as before. I know lots of you have this muffler, or have at least heard it, but for those considering a change, i'd recommend this one all day long. Here's a video comparing idle and a few revs of them both. https://youtu.be/v0PR3ULe35I

Tori, that's a great video comparison for low revs and you are right, the Dansk does sound very nice indeed. I have SSIs and the OEM style (non sport) Dansk 2 in 1 out that was on my car when I purchased it. Having just about conquered my wheel upgrade I'm moving to the muffler and I've been listening to endless youtube videos of M&K, Monty, and Dansk. I just love the scream of the M&K at high revs but your video has prompted me to take another look at the Dansk. Nice one. Cheers

Thanks, i'd done a bunch of reading about them prior to choosing the Dansk, and while i think the quality of the M&K has the Dansk beat, i'd heard it's a bit louder so i had to start with what i felt would be the closest thing to stock. The Dansk is just about stock. (except for sound) the body is just like the factory muffler, but you get a nice fat exh. tip that looks great IMO

I have the M&K 2 in 1 out on my 2.7 and the build quality is excellent. It is also nearly half the weight of the stock bischoff muffler. I wish it was a tad quieter, but I can live with it.

So I pulled the trigger on the 1i1o SS 84MM Tip :-)
![]() and made my own Heat Shield out of 18 gauge sheet of Aluminum ( not aluminum coated steel/tin did not want to deal with rust issues and weight )

This is a Dansk O/E type silencer in stainless. Was originally a 60mm tail pipe but had a 3" tail pipe custom made for it

How much of a high note does it have at high rpms? I am looking for an exhaust like this one but more of higher "Carrera GT" on the redline.

The Dansk sport muffler and bypass pipe was one of my first upgrades on mine! Nice throaty sound not too loud to bug but do get looks when passing by!
