I am in the process of re-doing my interior panels in black vinyl. The door panels and rear are good, I glued them then used staples on the rear to hold it. Worked great.
However the door tops and rear side tops are metal/aluminum. What kind of adhesive to I use to get the vinyl to stick strongly? I have used spray adhesive but it does not hold. TIA Shawn |

Its almost the same glue as the spray glue, i have used Loctite Contact glue. You spread it on two surfaces and let it dry for 10 minutes or so. Attach the parts and it should give you strong enough grip.

A good contact cement, such as 3M Fast Tack will work if you rough up the metal surface, remove the resulting particles with thinner, put the glue on both surfaces, push them together, separate them for one minute, then push into final positioning.
Whew! Jw |
