Fresh Air Vents got a new batch

Replace this foot well vent, weird looking IMO.

With this real directional vent and actually get air to your body. They really work.
Sold at cost for $60 the pair or $30 for one. Shipping inluded in the US.

Goes here under the dash, for driver and passenger.

Nice work. We'd like to try a pair with our electric A/C. Can you ship to the UK?

I like the sleek design, but wouldn't adding some downward directing holes like the OEM version direct more heat to feet, etc. ?

They are meant to get the most air to your body, to get air to your feet all it takes is a couple of Phillips screws and your back to oe. I found they are best when it's cool outside and you want to run with the windows up, listen to the radio and less noise yet don't want to get stuffy.

I would think a couple of well placed key holes by the purchaser could also get heat to the feet.

Just installed my new vents. Fantastic and creative product! Took all of 10min to install.
I took it for a drive and the difference is unbelievable. I have a 3.6 with the RS carbon fiber heat tube instead of a heat blower. I had considered adding a pair of footwell blowers to my '83SC but now don't need to! The heat just barrels out of the vents right were it's needed. Kudos for your creativity and well worth the price!!

George,
Just a suggestion, you should change the thread title (if you can) to "heat vents" as that's what they are
as opposed to "fresh air vents". Would most likely get more views.

Thanks a lot for that uwanna,.....I knew I had something when my son first drove the car with these installed and said " Wow, they really work!" took about 4 iterations though. Never considered them for heat, as I have none.
BTW only have 2 pair left.

HaHa George, never thought about any use other than heat. The "fresh air venting"
on these cars is so anemic that I have never used it, when I just wanted some airflow I turned on the AC blower and turned down the AC temp knob, but with your fix I'll give fresh air venting a try.

Do these replace the "side" vents for A/C, or they just for heat?

Yea, the fresh air in 911s pitiful. I do a lot of autocrosses. Sitting in the car waiting for my run can be brutal. I have the fresh air blower on max and it mostly makes a lot of noise. I run the AC fan and that helps but I have to be sure the compressor is not running or it drips water on the track and that upsets competitors and is against our club rules.

Tributevent....look at the pics at the very top of the post, ....

If you're rusty on how to work the 3 sliders on the dash for fresh air, which from the couple of posts it seems that they are just ignored, set the sliders like this:

To get fresh air out the vents and put the blower on max

Top slider pair Both together all the way to the right. This open the cowl vents and turns the blower on hi.

Middle slider all the way left. (This works the flapper boxes so that air is at the new vent)

Bottom slider I don't know since i don't have heat and this is disconnected in my car. Can somebody explain the function of the RED slider??????

The bottom slider regulates the flow of hot air from the exchangers when the heat is turned on. It regulates the distribution of the heated air in the same manner as the center lever distributes outside air. From my 85 owners manual.
