front tub diagonal measurements.

Guys.Is there anyone out there in 911 land who can give me an exact measurement of the attached image.
From corner of scuttle to the point of inner wing where it meets the front panel please.
This tub is way out of spec from a previous repair.
Its coming apart again, but need a double check.
Thanks

Hi coomo

I have a set of drawing from the W,S,M, but that check is not on there, all the others are,

if you would like a photo please let me know,

or if you know some one with the older set of manual's, the page's you require are in the Volume II with all the chassis dimentions and mesuring points.

.12 or 12?

If 12, you have an issue to correct. has this chassis ever been crashed?

That's your answer. I think Early 911S has good measurements. Probably the same as MBE though. 12mm is < 1/2 inch. Will affect front suspension.

12MM is like a mile with this

Can you test fit the fenders/lid to see how bad this is

Suspension mounting points?

When taking "inside" measurements like this I generally use a small stick or 1/4 x 1 steel. It provides a more accurate means of measure

Even those will have some flex Needs a jig.

This "ghetto" method has served me well for many years. What is the tolerance for chassis dimensions? maybe a mm or two. A short length (3 or 4 feet) of 1/4 x 1 will probably not have more than 10 thou of "flex

I'm guessing they don't have that measurement because it may not be precise enough. Plus the upper sheet metal could be off, but that would be OK as long as the suspension mounting locations are correct (not that it would be great news for body panel fit).

Why not go with dimensions "F" and "L" instead:

Thanks guys.I already have a front suspension jig.I wanted the diagonals, not to check the suspension mounts, but to make sure the front panel was aligned correctly.
The front is being cut off.The front panel does not attach anywhere except the inner wings as we know.
However it can "float" and be out of line pretty easily.
its just my OCD checking everything.
