Sell the car over a cage??? That's a little dramatic.

So I removed the front half today in about three hours with help from a friend. I still have to finish grinding down the four mounting locations, reassemble the lower dash, and replace some carpeting.

Overall the job really wasn't that bad. It was tight around the headliner where it attached to the rear hoop but with some patience and a couple of different tools we were able to cut it free without damaging the car at all.

The Lenox blades were amazing! They cut right through in about 30 seconds with a sawzall. The grinding will take longer but at least the car is driveable as is.

Looks good. If you leave the floor stubs, and with some creative use of PVC adapters & Pipe, you'll have a nice cupholder.....

Just curious, did the fabricator weld the top of the upper bars? (tubes 100% welded around the joint)(one thing that separates the hacks from the pros)

LOL Yes I was thinking the same thing - cup holders!

The top of the of the upper bars were not completed welded. One side was close but the other was not. I don't know how they would've pulled that off with the headliner in place.
