Waxed canvas gear bag

No idea where to post this and not quite sure I can post it but I'm sure someone will correct me if it's against a rule I've overlooked.

I was in the market for a gear bag for my trunk. I wanted something flat bottom, durable and kind of vintage looking. I was recently at a woodworking trade show and stumbled on Janet Switzer of Camp Robber canvas and asked her about making me a bag.

I gave her some specs and had a sweet bag in my hands a week later. It is heavy duty Scottish waxed canvas, I'm putting extra oil, rags, window cleaner, detail cleaner, etc in it.

Just thought there may be some interest. I'd post a link but I'm not sure if that is allowed. OK sounds like it's OK, her store is here

I've had a PM asking about where to get these but I'd rather just post a link here. Is that allowed?

Could you repost the pics? I'm seeing broken links.

Hmmm, geez no wonder no one has commented or asked about this bag! OK, I'm going to edit now.

Dumont - that's a great looking bag. I'd definitely be interested in one to keep everything tidy in the frunk.

Can I post a link to the seller? Again, I have no affiliation, just really happy with the results.

While this seems practical - I am not sure how it is related to Porsche - It feels like a sales pitch, wondering why it is still posted? How about posting in classifieds?

Edit: OK, I get it - the tribe has spoken - carry on

Well, as I said, didn't know if this was the right area.

That said, I have literally no affiliation with the maker other than having met her at a trade show. I love the bag, I love hand made things and I ended up buying one for my bother's 83sc also.

So no sales pitch here, just thought others like myself would like a nice bag for messy stuff in the trunk that might actually keep the trunk fairly clean being that it's waxed canvas. We go out of our way in our own business to promote anything handmade, so I thought I'd give this lady a plug.

How is it related to Porsche......hmmm it's not directly but I'm pretty sure I'm not far off the mark when I assume fellow enthusiasts might benefit from my find that meshes pretty well with the Porsche aesthetic.

It's just a product that makes the 911 more enjoyable. Just like a camera mount, fire extinguisher holder, drink holder, cell phone holder, etc. It's just holding different stuff in a 911. So, sounds good to me. Full disclosure: I'm the brother. And I keep a spare fuel pump and some other 911-specific tools in mine. It's nice!

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Dumont - is the canvas tool bag on her site the same specs as yours? You mentioned that you gave her some measurements so just curious if they're the same.

European men wear capri pants over there so this bag would be great for them! Wait!!! I just checked , our forefathers also wore shiny, colored capri pants like Jefferson and Franklin ! So it is all OK! Get the bag!

Jerry is a Porsche fan so hopefully he won't mind. I knew I had heard that somewhere. Looks to be a very rugged tool bag.
