Help Identifying funky 3 piece wheels - 6 pin drive?

I got these in a Porsche lot parts purchase. Shop did a lot of race stuff.

Anyway, these wheels are 15x10 and 15x12, with a 3 piece design. Similar to Centerlines, obviously, but not that brand. they also have a non-ferrous (maybe Magnesium, just based on the fact it's darker than the aluminum) center disc in between the inner and outer halves (I have an identical set of Porsche fitment wheels from the same purchase).

I have read that Halibrand and some others did pin-drive setups with knockoffs, but those pin arrangements seem to have a larger locating diameter (basically, a larger pin/bolt pattern). These pins are arranged in about a 3.5" diameter circle.

Jaguar? Formula car or sports racer? Cobra? Worst case I just bought some cool end tables, but I'd love to know what they fit.

Interesting. Those look like NAS (National Aerospace Standard) perimeter bolts.

As i kinda figured, they are Chassis Engineering wheels, but I still have no idea what the bolt/pin pattern fits.

Knowing the lug spacing and centre bore would help...

I don't recall a lot of cars with six bolts, either. Interesting.

As I mentioned - the 6 pins are in a 3.5" diameter circle. I really dont think they were 6 lug bolts, but a centerlock with these drive pins, but I'm just guessing. Center bore is 65mm or 2.53" (with a small plastic caliper so not machinist accurate).

Thanks.

The center section might be AL, but the pin-drive boss/receiver that is bolted onto the center looks to be MG.

As I recall several of the cars with dedicated knockoffs (not the knock-off adapters that you bolted onto the hub) used 6-pin drive. I can't imagine they are for anything other than a knock-off or other center-drive: there is no chamfer for lugnuts to sit.

Vipers and CTS-V use 6-lug setup but these wheels are too old for that (duh).

Probably for what you say - Jaguar, Ford, Formula, etc. that used true knock-offs. Ford GT(40) comes to mind but no idea what the spacing is.

I would guess an older high-powered (judging by the width) American car. Could be anything; Ford, Chevy, Cheetah, Cunningham, some kind of other special. Maybe Indy or Formula 3000 or something. Doubt Formula Vee or smaller Formulas, wheels look too wide.

I would browse around racingsportscars.com looking at American race cars from the late sixties and thru the seventies.

Thanks Jim.

In looking more at Porsche stuff, because everything from this shop was Porsche, I found that 962's changed from the older 5 pin centerlock to a smaller diameter 6 pin centerlock, which looks kinda similar.

Anyone have a 962 hub or wheel they can measure the pin circle diameter ?
