The cases are amazing. I do hope he stabilizes and gets production underway soon for all your sakes.
With all the worn cam towers out there for all the years, I’ve not heard of anyone re-sleeving the cam and rocker bores. Transmission cases are routinely saved this way. So are certain bearing races in other applications.

Time for my semi-annual check in to see if this is still a thing.

That appears to be a graphic with no source of information or means of procurement.

The 100 or so that were recently made available are sold out. My local deal did say though, that there may be more coming.

In my experience, pushing small runs through vendors like foundries, steel mills, etc,. puts you at risk of having deliveries pushed into the future when someone with a bigger order (and sometimes a pushier expediter) forces you to the back of the production line, or at least farther out than you thought you were. I once had to expedite deliveries of Fabricated Steel, and other things, for a large project with limited space for storing same. So we came up with a plan to erect the steel as it was delivered which required a specific delivery sequence and timetable so the crews could be kept busy. The fabricator agreed to all this and on day X we were supposed to see trucks lined up waiting to offload. Except only a couple arrived. I hopped on a plane and am talking to the fabricator the next day. He tells me that my steel is in various stages of prep - welding, painting, loading, etc. So we walk out back and I'm expecting to see all of our structures being prepared (naive me). The VP of the company with me, wasn't surprised or even embarrassed that he had been caught. It was just a case of another buyer with a bigger order and more profit arriving. I am sure it happens all the time.
This is what I assumed you would run into when I 1st read about this project - it would be filled with delays and delayed deliveries to customers is the unfortunate result. Don't know if this is what happened to Catorce or not, but ambitious projects (like this) often run into hiccups. Also, with the release of almost any new product, there are obstacles along the way. Some of the obstacles solutions often have different timetables and results. The 1st part of a project like this is dealing with all the engineering obstacles and the 2nd part will tackle the Production obstacles. As Catorce may find, the scale up to an efficient, economical production model may be very frustrating. I wish him good luck with these issues -- |

I don't know why, but I have noticed that MOST American businesses don't respect their schedules, one would promise you to deliver after 30 days, then it tuned to be 60 days. I have ordered many items from Summit Racing for example, and at least 80% of time they wont deliver on time.

The current economic situation has turned our country (the world, really) on its collective ear. Production and shipping times have been longer, heck even Amazon shipping is a lot longer. I hope the stuff with these cases is due to that. Would be great to have an enthusiast making new ones at a decent price.

New factory 993/964 engine cases in stock ready to ship.
I'm not trying to interfere with Adams business but at some point, waiting for engines leaves too many cars on the lift.

We build a 66 X 100mm engine a few years back, with Extreme heads and it was a screamer.

Curious as to how this turned out? I see the Taormina racing website shows cases in stock. Have people built engines from them? Did everything eventually turn out ok?

Not for me. I've been asking for my fully refundable deposits for months now, and getting a combination of no response and empty promises.

I did hear back from Adam just recently. I have not worked out details, but it sounded if he was ready to start shipping.

this bump reminded me to ask adam for an update as well... last I heard from him ( over a month ago) 13 cases where just about finished. i'm #7 and that i'd have one within a couple weeks, but that's what I've been told over and over again. also, he wont refund my full payment..

Well hopefully this all turns out ok. Seems like some engines have been delivered to customers. All sounds a bit vector w8 in the end.
