I like this a lot - but as you can see my parts look awful - dont want to harm anything trying to clean it, but can't stand the looks of this. Can I heat gun this tar/plastic off?

My car looked that bad. I used a heat gun, a lot of wooden stir sticks and finally solvent. It was no fun. It messed up the paint but my car is a driver so I don't care

That's awesome! Was that a kit you bought or something that you had made?

Thanks for the inspiration guys. Cleaned out my frunk today, carefully stored the OEM carpet and heading to JoAnn's fabrics this week to buy supplies.

You are correct but I cut out a hole for the fuse box and brake fluid reservoir and had trim added to my cuts otherwise I felt that it did not fit right.

so, this looks like a 74 to 80s Carrera, also not listed in their availability. Custom order?

I wish I could sew!

It's a 77 930. They were actually pretty fast on it. Came a lot sooner then they said. Hopefully they should be able to make you one.
