Sad Ad
My friend gives me his Panorama magazines after he reads them. I have had the September issue for about a month or so, and flipped through it one last time before putting it in the recycle bin.
In The Mart, I read an ad for a 1970 914-6. The sad part, besides the non matching engine, was that he wrote this engine was rebuilt by none other than MotorMeister. I guess some still do not know of their reputation. Might have gotten lucky, he states 16,000 miles since the rebuild.

does not surprise me at pano continued running MM adds long after problems were well known with in the community.

I'm guessing that at one point MM was doing good work but then they got over their head like many other shops.
16K miles since rebuild is a good thing that can negates the MM reference. Got to give him points for honesty.

16 years or so ago, I was looking at getting a 3.3 liter rebuilt. Since MM was about 30 miles away, I decided to drive over and give them a look. There "shop" was less than inspiring, parts were everywhere, and they were working outside on dirt! I am SO glad I did not have them touch my engine!
