930 Chin Spoiler to fender mounting help.
I have an SC with a factory turbo body. When installing the factory valence and rubber chin spoiler, all was straight forward but mounting the rubber chin spoiler flush up against the fender by the wheel opening. (See picture)
What hardware is supposed to be used there to mount to the fender? My factory rubber chin spoiler does not have holes there, but what looks like steel clips that are supposed to hook on something on the fender? Please help Matthttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1518313060.jpg |
I just checked my Rubber lip. You are missing the stud.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1518313554.jpg

Looks like yours broke off

Thanks guys! Yes that would do it, and there is like zero information on that stud anywhere.
Looks like I have to drop cash on a new rubber or figure a creative solution. |
Factory wide body on an SC? What year is it?

I am about to install a chin spoiler on my 83 SC wide body coupe, as well. Did you use the Pelican Parts install kit? Any tips for the installation? I have a chin spoiler on my 85 cab and it really finishes the front end.

Start in the center and work your way outboard. Don’t tighten until you’re balanced.

Installing the front chin spoiler is easier off the car. (Mine was off the car anyways to swap in euro crash tubes and a new plastic smile)
I didn’t buy the kit, just 7x of those metal brackets for the front and then did a hardware store run for stainless nus, bolts & washers. |
