A production 911 crankcase breather cover with the chromate treatment applied. Not a racing part, but it works and it looks nice.
![]() ![]() I was also thinking of doing the same to the 2R case, it gives it that period race part look'n'feel. Below is a 908 race motor, note the various color hues of its Magnesium components. ![]() Die-Cast and Sand-Cast Magnesium parts don't turn out the same after undergoing the 'chromate' process. Die-Cast pieces require more personal attention to achieve a more uniform color, at times turning out a bit darker in the process. These old race parts no longer grow on trees. You can't never pay too much, only buy them too early... ![]()

Kicking it up a notch!
With a beautiful 69' 911S Magnesium Oil Filter Console and its three corresponding 911S Oil Lines included... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Perfect groove with zero corrosion of the magnesium. ![]() A good thing for the large rubber O-ring to achieve a seal without oil leaks. ![]() ![]() An October 69' date code ![]() When only the best will do...

Kicking it up a notch, again?
Including, now adding a 911 oil thermostat in the parts lot. ![]() Not the 69' 911S street version... ![]() This new oil thermostat has the incorporated body mounting bracket, a race part... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
