6 Early Big Fin 930 Calipers

I have 6 early style 930 calipers consisting of one complete set plus an additional front and rear driver side calipers.
the set of four seem to be in good shape. i'd pop the pistons and swap the seals before using just for peace of mind.
the extra front has one thread damaged. surely repairable. otherwise they come as you see them in the pics.
$3500 for all 6 plus paypal and shipping

Can we get more pictures and how much for the dog? On a serious note, what is the distinction between early and late calipers? Bob

Can't tell from the pics, but are the rears the same dimensions as the fronts? (except for pistons).
What is the rear bolt spacing?
Thanks
Bill K

the dog

The earlier calipers have bigger fins and better cooling. not sure of other exact differences

they look to me to be the same. the only way i can tell them apart is by piston size and caliper bolt hole orientation. otherwise they all look alike
would have to measure bolt spacing tomorrow but it is the same as any other early 930 caliper. try a search if you need to know right away

IIRC they are 3.5" spacing both front and rear. Some people get the rears machined to a 3.0" bolt mounting space for 911 banana arms or the early turbo arms.

From my understanding, the long fin calipers started with the 3.3 turbos in 1978. When they switched to the short fin calipers made by Brembo I I’m guessing early eighties. I can verify my 85 930 has brembo short fins.
The spacing is the same. Piston sizes are in fact different front to rear. Pads are the same
All his calipers have 78 and 79 dates except the bad caliper has and 82 date on it so I guess we can confirm the transition date was somewhere between 83-84

besides pistons the fronts have a wider throat for 32mm rotors rears use 28mm

late ones have n integral banjo that need to be machined off for use on 911 rear

also late ones have smaller fins

These are from an '85

I would assume so given that 930's came with 16" fuchs. the last 1980 930 i had with old school 16" bbs wheels had these same calipers and they fit just fine

YES! They even fit under 16" BBS one-piece wheels. Actually the 930 calipers will fit inside 15" Fuchs wheels if you can believe it.

Happy New Year Frank!
