930 seats - Full leather (1987)

I purchased these as a back up set to my sport seats. They were stored inside a crate for a few years by the previous owner. I have decided I'd rather have the garage space than to hold on to them.

I have shipped half a dozen or more seats over the past 10 years plus. Manual seats I generally "69" in a wardrobe box. However, in my estimation power seats are too heavy to ship in that fashion. Plan your shipping accordingly. Probably about $170 each seat from here (San Diego - 92121) across country to the east coast via FedEx. Local pick up is of course welcomed.

All upholstery appears original, some flaws on each seat as noted in the pictures. Any questions just let me know. mgsparks@outlook.com is probably the best contact for me.

Asking $1,050 plus shipping.

Matt, is the drivers seat actually worn through around the switch at the front?

Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,

Thanks for asking. Yes, I believe the leather is worn through at the front of the switch bezel. Not sure if you had a chance to look through the google photos link I had posted but it shows the wear in closer detail than the pictures that come up in the Pelican listing. I can look tomorrow and let you know but I'm pretty sure it's all the way through.

Best,

Matt

Hi Lawrence,

Still have the seats, I do not log on to my Pelican account often and received a message that inbox was full. I will go down the list of people that have inquired and will let you know if they're still available after that.

Cheers,

Matt

Still for sale. Steve had looked into these and decided to pass as he believes these seats might be standard 911 seats and not 930 seats. These seats were previously in an '87 930 and it was my understanding that they were from that car but in light of Steve's additional research, it may be that these seats were not organic to that car.

The part tags that are affixed to the bottom cushions reflect 928.521.003.52 for the driver side and 928.521.004.52 for the passenger side. Per the '86 PET, the numbers fall under the M437 package that were offered that year as “comfort seat all-electric whole-leather”.

On that note, I am updating the listing to describe these as being from a 911. If anyone has additional information to add I would really appreciate it as I'm curious to know the difference in part number and to improve my ongoing quest of Porsche knowledge. Thanks.

I have a 930 seats in my car and they look EXACTLY as these seats. I think the comfort seats were similar between the turbo and the carrera.

Hi Kamaro,

Thanks for the feedback. If your set wasn't mounted in the car I would ask you to share the part numbers. It was mentioned that a set from a 930 might have deeper bolsters than standard comfort seats but not as deep as sport seats.

Best,

Matt

I'm 100% sure that mine were taken out of a 930, I took ALL the interior pieces of that 930 with the rear seat having the "turbo" script embossed. they are in the car right now, but I can take one out to have a look at the part number, do you know the approximate location of the part number?

Matt,

This is very iinteresting! I have a set of late "930 sport seats" and they do look different than these seats, mainly in the side bolster area, mine are more pronounced.

Although the price for these seats seems appropriate as the 930 sport seats usually sell for $2,000 +/-.

84 930 seats

These are not the best pictures but these were fitted to an 84 930 turbo stock. Would give one an idea as to stock appearance. Thanks Rob.

Guys, thanks for all the feedback and Rob thanks for your pictures. As Steve had looked pretty far into this, I feel compelled to defer to his judgment that these are likely not 930 seats. Rahl, thanks for your input, this would align with what Steve's mechanic suggested as well, the difference is in the bolsters.

Interested in these. Replacing some worn bits in an 85 Targa I just picked up. Has tan interior now, but i'm wanting to replace some with black parts, like seats and carpet.

Are these full power? The seats in my car are half power. Still has lever for sliders, but buttons on the side that are currently inoperative.... If they are full power, will my hookups operate the full power portion of them?
