Solex 40PI restored and running on a 2.7 RS spec engine
These carburators are a joy to drive and hear. Its staight alignment to the cilinders and the 40mm bore give a very quick response al low rpms. With almost no loss of torque with hot cams. Very desirable for track racing purpose. I used them on my 1974 2.7 liter balanced with twin spark and 10.5 Compression ratio M&K RS exhaust and they JUST SING! Unfortunately Im selling the car and customer wont pay for extra jewelry. Asking price 15000 USD. plus shipping. Carbs are in Mexico.
Manifold bores increased to 32 mm, Throttle shafts bushings redone. A few bolt and hardware remanufactured. Throttle horns where missing so I copy them on aluminium from an original one. Everything cleaned and serviced. a set of K&N filters from webber fixed with no modifications to original aluminium bases. Suction bolt holes increased to 2mm. Vacumm throttle sensor is missing. I can send video of them at idle revving and car running hard. I used two low preassure fuel pumps and a PMO preassure regulator and run very well. I will disassemble them until the purchase is completed. Restoration was made up to the point they work fine. But probably wont meet showroom standards Specially on plating and hoses. They are perfect for street/racing oldschool purposes. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. my email mariomastretta@yahoo.com http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1588203493.jpg
