Nice heatders Bra
GLWS I’m interested but have a question for all the SSI gurus. I have a set of thick flange on my SC. Currently rebuilding a 3.2 euro engine and driving a 3.2 us spec targa. Did original SSI thick flange HEs come in different diameters for 3.0 and 3.2 displacement motors??? Or are all thick flange real deal SSIs HEs the same ID???? |

Bigger, as in larger OD tubing.

Thanks
Understood, however this quote is what prompted the question. “The originals are all the same ID regardless of thick or thin flange“ So tube wall thickness is greater by 3mm and the ID is the same? Wondering if there is better flow for 3.2 liter than the originals? Seems odd all ID are the same. |

Why in the world would they make a set of exhausts with 1.5mm thicker tubing? Answer, they didn't.

I didn't know these were released yet. Last I saw it was thin flange only. It's unfortunate SSI raised the price 30% over the 38mm

I agree that they went too high on the price for these new larger SSI's. They are what we've been waiting on for a long time now! Glad they're making them!! I'm assuming they're only making them thick flange?

Skunkworks,
What is the inlet diameter at the flange. From the pictures I see the tube extends past the flange into the head. Are these designed to fit an unmodified 3.2 head exhaust port? Thank you |

I have a set and will put out 2 videos. Once the engine they are going on is done. One showing open box reveal, and a second on a 82SC case fitment. The engine will be a 3.2 with 10.2CR Mahles, S cams, and RSR size MFI from TRE.
I hope to have the engine done by years end. We're waiting in the S cams and a Fairchild custom MFI space cam. ![]() ![]()

Thanks for answering on the 3.2 fit. Once again what is the inlet diameter of the tubing at the flange?

It's Dansk, JP Group, that raised the price. This is most likely because of the new tooling needed to make the 41 mm heat exchangers. SSI never made 41 mm heat exchangers.

Probably 1/16" wall, so subtract 1/8" (3.175mm) from the OD.
