Help! long block or short block engine?
 
Would anyone please tell me what is the estimate hp for short block and long block engine. Which one is more durable and reliable against heat and hard driving?

Paul-

Typically a short block engine is a motor with only the cylinders and heads and no intake/exhaust/ or accessories. A long block engine is a motor with intake and exhaust, but usually no electrical harness, etc...
