1966 Prototype Case 900053
 

Case with 1966 casting date. Case number 900053. Type 901/02. In excellent condition. All stock with no repairs. I'm traveling so I can't load pictures until later this week. Be aware of this guy I tried to buy this oil console from him, he insisted I Venmo him I offered PP he said only FF I offered to pay the 3% PP fees he said his wife PP account only accepts Pay Pail Friends and Family.
He then offered to sent the oil console to me for $200 PP FF and to send the balance when I receive the console which we all know will be on the 12th of never.
I called him the phone line was very garbled and very poor english I'm convinced he is not even in this country.
I called him a scammer and his claim was that he is an established PP user, I checked out his profile and he has 3 things for sale, and a bunch of minor comments on other peoples post became a member on Aug 2023 5 months ago.

You post is based on misinformation. I have never communicated with you and you have never communicated with me via a PM or post on PP, email or cell phone.

I am glad you were able to figure out someone was impersonating me and trying to scam you. Maybe you should communicate only through PMs.

I was locked out of my original PP account with the user name 911hutch and was unable to get it unlocked and gain access to it. Consequently I opened a new account with the user name 911mhutch. As I recall, there was urgency at the time as I was trying to finalize a transaction with another PP user....

911hutch has been a member and still is on Pelican Parts since 2010.

The 911hutch account shows last activity Aug 23. In Sept 23, the 911mhutch account was created. Without an Admin doing a deep dive on IPs, the explanation seems to check out.

This is not a new scenario. I’ve seen it before. Maybe your experience is related to him being locked out of his account? What method did you use to communicate about the oil console?

How did you get the phone number you used to talk to the potential scammer?

Louis posted a response to my post and included his phone number. The scammer must have called him at that phone number and impersonated me. I never saw that post until after Louis stated I was a "scammer" and when I went digging through posts I saw he posted his phone number. I think he has since deleted that post. In an effort to try to sort through this mess I PM'd Louis immediately upon seeing his posted claim stating I was a scammer. But he never responded. Consequently I posted my interpretation of what might have happened and.........advised him to PM responses to posts and most certainly to not post his phone number. Fortunately, and to his credit, he never was scammed out of funds.

Louis, Again, I was locked out of my 911hutch account in late September and after a number of failed attempts decided to open a new account as 911mhutch. Since opening the new account I have bought and sold items without issue. In an effort to resolve your issue I pm'd you and provided you with my cell number asking you to contact me. You posted your phone number and a scammer posing as me reached out to you. I have never had conversation with you.
