I’d be suspicious of a $450 valve job. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s not close to what most machine shops charge these days.

Also if you still have an open mind to opinions - do not forget the cost to make serviceable a magnesium 911 engine case costs can be 2500 if it needs line boring, and timecerts put in for head studs, decking and . . . . Which is why on my own 914-6 project car I settled on a 3.2 case, but certainly 3.0 works just fine. Even if you got a 2.0 aluminum case it is expensive to go off for machine work to modernize.
Buy the 3.0 long blocks Efren mentioned and have a rock solid start for a high performance engine. Good luck! Jim |

The heads were overhauled 15000 miles ago all he is going to do is make sure they are still sound and if I did as I suspect break a valve then he will repair that head the majority of my money will be in case mods to make it more survivable and to support a bigger oil pump then clean everything up and get it ready for reassembly I am figuring 3-4000 dollar on the work including twin plugging
