Just want to weigh in, I personally had many dealings with John, I purchased, several sets of restored 911 H1 and new 911 LED headlights, complete set of restored early turn sig and covers, etc. Only ever had one issue with something that wasn't shipped, he sorted it and got it to me PDQ. Of course I haven't gotten anything recently and am shocked to hear of his operation shutting down. I understand when guys don't get stuff after paying out hard earned money, but please, make sure we have all the facts before condemning a member who was previously in good standing and providing some quality lighting and electrical parts! Just my $0.02

I ordered headlights in January. I still have not received them.

"I have hope on delivering your headlights however I don't know when I will have the funds. To complicate things further I'm moving to more affordable housing and things will be unsettled for some time as it is a very small space. I can't give you a firm ETA. My best guess, and it's strictly a guess, is 2-4 months."

I'll echo what Barrie said above, I've always had positive interactions with John and was pleased with his products and support. No insights into his business model, but I do with him the best and hope he can turn it around and make good on pending orders. Sad situation.

Sounds to me like his financial troubles started WAY before tariffs.

Haven't run across any potential "equity partners" interested in a money-losing enterprise with significant debt and bad rep. But who knows. Maybe a winning lottery ticket is more probable.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones and bought several items from John. He was always quick to reply. However, 50% of the orders had an error, didn't ship the right quantity, or shipped the wrong thing, I stopped buying because it seemed like every other order had a problem.

exactly, always shifting the blame to something else.

he didn't give me an update from January to June, until I realized my headlights weren't received by the body shop. I have ordered from him once in the past without issue, but true colors come out when people get put under pressure.

Also, during my long wait, he was handing out 20% discounts after I had placed my order. I asked for him to apply this discount and he wouldn't honor it and still never delivered the headlights.

I will never support him moving forward with the way he has handled this situation.
I charged back my order since he wasn't able to resolve the situation like an adult.

if you want to get headlights (upgrade ones) go to one of our Pelican forum member who owns a company name 9HAUS Headlights - I have dealt with him and he is a great upstanding guy who provides all variety products and exceed expectations for your 911's upgrades headlights. Look up on his website: 9HAUS Headlights -
Note: formerly 911HAUS - I think he omitted two #'s 11's due to copyright from Porsche.
He still runs his business from LA area and I have a pair of those headlights far superior from any other headlights vendors. You should look at all the variety options of headlights for your 911's. Good price as well, and prompt shipping on any orders!

AFAIK, Audette was the only guy selling H4’s with more classic warm bulbs. Everyone else is super bright/blue 6000K stuff that is IMO too modern for classic Pcars

Anyone else out there offering what Audette did? I’d love to know.
