I need an alternator housing for a 3.2
Anyone have a decent alternator housing for my 84 Carrera 3.2? I know this is a much asked for part, but once again, another one cracked. The part number off my cracked housing is 930-106-102-3A, cannot find a number on the fan (which is slightly dinged).
I have a new housing ordered, just don't know when it will show (and the car is parked till repairs made). Anyone know what all numbers will inter-change with this one (was told a 911-106-055-01) is a later replacement. Anybody have one at a decent price? Oh yeah, I'd like to change the fan assembly also. Which all 11 blade fans can I use? I have looked thru old posts for this info, and searched my books and discs, but cannot find these answers.  Can anyone give me info on which housings and which fans can be used? Parts numbers and/or years would greatly help me. Thanks...

No luck so far!!
I find lots of used 11 blade fans, but buying a wrong one will do me no good. So far no housing at a fair price. My buddie will heli-arc my old one soon, I hope. Anyone know what other number alternator housings (and/or fans) I can use? I was told 1980 SC through 1988 Carrera alt housings and fans can be used. Is this correct?
