1972 shifter with short shift kit

I updated the shift housing on a '72 911 and I'm selling the shifter with base spacer. $100 plus shipping. Includes the longer bolts you need to mount it.

Is that for a 901 or a 915 tranny? I'm thinkin 915, but I have to ask. I'll take it if it's for a 901 though.

It's a '72 for a 915. Sorry.

In '72 I'm pretty sure they used the same shifter that was previously used for the 901. Long story short I believe techweenie's shifter will work with a 901.
Just trying to help.

Is this just a bolt-in swap with the stock shifter?

Sorry, forgot to ask - Is this a factory shifter or aftermarket?

Thanks.

How did you get a short shift kit on a 72 housing? What brand? I thought they only worked with 73 or later shifters?

It came with the car. It's a Weltmeister. The kit included a longer shifter (below the pivot) and a base plate to raise the fulcrum point. The car had very short, stiff throws.
