Rsr-935 Width Simmons 3 Pc. Wheels
HAVE LEFT OVER FROM RSR-935 PROJECTS, TWO SIMMONS 3 PC. WHEELS FOR ONE SIDE OF THE CAR. THESE ARE NEAR NEW, AS THEY WERE MOUNTED, AND RAN ONLY ONCE TO CHECK BALANCE. ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE CAR AVAILABLE, AS THESE WERE TO BE USED AS SPARES. THEY WERE RETIRED WHEN THE CAR WAS JUNKED OUT. SIZES AND BACKSPACING AS FOLLOWS:
QUANTITY (1) 16" DIA X 10.5" WIDE, BACKSPACING IS 5 1/4" QUANTITY (1) 16" DIA X 13" WIDE, BACKSPACING IS 5 7/8" SIMMONS WHEELS ARE MADE IN AUSTRALIA, AND WERE OFFERED AS AFTERMARKET WHEELS BY SOME PORSCHE DEALERS. SIMMONS STILL PRODUCES THIS STYLE WHEEL, AND THEY ARE AVAILABLE THRU A DEALER WHO ADVERTIZES IN EXCELLENCE. THESE COST APPROX 450. EACH TO BUILD. I AM SELLING THE PAIR FOR THE COST OF THE CENTERS ALONE. THESE WOULD REQUIRE RSR WIDEBODY, OR 935 BODYWORK. EXCELLENT FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BUY TWO MORE AND COMPLETE THE SET, OR WANTS SPARE TRACK WHEELS. WOULD ALSO MAKE AN INTERESTING DISPLAY, OR A NICE COFFEE TABLE WITH GLASS OVER THE TOP OR WHAT HAVE YOU. AS PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE, HALF WIDTHS, AND OFFSETS CAN BE CHANGED. I WOULD LIKE TO GET 400. FOR THE PAIR, PLUS SHIPPING. IF THESE DO NOT MOVE WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME I MAY BE WILLING TO SEPARATE AT 200. EACH. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Rod-
I just went through this month's Excellence but couldn't find the ad for the Simmons dealer. Any idea how long it takes the Simmons dealer to have build and deliver two identical wheels? Did you powdercoat them yellow or did they come from Simmons that way? How much do they weigh and are they relatively strong? Thanks- Craig Backer Last edited by fastbacker; 05-07-2006 at 01:54 PM.. |

These are the two wheels I showed you when you picked up the tail. I do not take excellence anymore, so I can't look for the ad. I remember it being a wheel dealer who had about a quarter page ad toward the front. this was within the last year or two, as i called him to see how much it would be to get two more. I recall him saying a few weeks lead time, centers were around 200. and complete wheels maybe 450 or so. I think these were powdercoated by the previous owner, as were my other wheels. these are not the lightest wheels out there, but they are super strong. the halves are thicker than BBS, and the center uses a thirty bolt pattern. You might try doing a search on the internet for the dealer. He wasn't advertizing just simmons, and the wheel center type was shown. That's how I found it. Thanks Rod
