FS New Bilstein RSR Threaded Strut w/Insert

I have right side only. I purchased this new and mounted it as a roller with a used insert. Includes the new insert. I paid over $700.00. I would like to get $500.00 including shipping in the CONUS.

Thanks-Chris

Are you open to any trades??

Stophos 08-02-2007 03:32 PM

Byron,
A conbination of the following might entice me:
1 901 15x6 Fuch preferably with a 68-69 date.
Left fog light for an 84-89 911
Sparco Evo or Evo 2 seat dressed in black.
Rear Porshe center reflector w/ shawdow lettering

If I think of anything elso I'll post.
Thanks-Chris

I have an early Fuch, will check on the date code. Is this for a spare or to make a set??

Stophos 08-03-2007 04:23 AM

Byron, It is for a spare.

Racerbvd 08-03-2007 10:55 AM

This is a 901 6X15, was in the trunk as a spare of a 911 I got a long time ago. Looks like it would clean up and be a nice spare (that is what I was going to do, but won't fit over my brakes).

Racerbvd 08-03-2007 02:19 PM

Sorry, no heart, trying to get that paddle clean enough to see the date code.

Stophos 08-04-2007 03:49 AM

Byron, Sorry to say that the heartless one won't do for this project. Let me know if anything turns up.

Hi Chris, will this work without springs...meaning will it work with torsion bars as is?

Thanks again for the insert, not sure if I told you, but I sent my two front Bilstein struts and inserts to Bilstein for R&R and revalving, hoping to get "new" struts back for my E. Turns out BOTH my front struts were BENT. :(

Front suspension is a long way off, but may be interested in this strut.

let me know.

Shaun, Sucks about the struts. Is there no way to straighten them?
As for this RSR type I can't imagine why you would have to use the spring with it if you prefered to stay with the t bars. Probably a cheaper non threaded pair out there for the price of this one though. Let me know.

Shaun, it will work fine with out the coil spring, but make sure the one you put on the other side has a matching spindle hieght. Some of these have raised spindles, and there are two different heights.

Are you looking for 3.5 inch caliper struts? I will look around here for a pair. I sold a set a while back cheap....

cheers

Thanks Jeff, yes, need a set of Bilsteins for my E. Bilstein said fronts were bent when I sent them out for a revalve, although one looks fine, and the other is clearly bent. Chris' here would be great, but a little out of my price range at the moment...then there's that 240Z. Need to focus.:(

Bump for a great strut.

What is the caliper bolt spacing on that strut, 3", or 3.5"?

Thanks,
Dave

Stophos 12-16-2007 07:27 AM

3.5" caliper spacing.

drb930 12-16-2007 07:36 AM

Have you measured it?
The Bilstein web site says they are 3"?

Stophos 12-16-2007 07:48 AM

You had me thinking so I measured and confirmed that the spacing from center to center of the mounting holes is 3.5".
