FS: 1974 915 Trans

Hi, I've got a 915 trans I pulled from a 1974 parts car. This is a magnesium transaxle. The 1974 year is a coveted trans because of the gear ratios are good for building a hot rod.

I pulled this out of the car before I sold it, was going to use it in my 69 car but decided to use a newer aluminum one.

The car had a 3.0L motor in it, that had a stuck valve, so the condition of this trans is unknown.

Interested, let me know. I'd let it go for a good price. Give me an offer.

thanks,
Pete Smith

What were your thoughts as to a fair price on this? I was thinking $700 and I would take care of shipping?

Let me know if this is in the ball park.

Thanks for the post.

Well, I was thinking a little closer to the 1000 mark.. but I think I would consider 850+ shipping.

Let me know if that sounds fair.

thanks,
Pete

Pete, am I correct in that this transaxle will have the 7:31 ring and pinion in it? I am pretty sure that it will but I wanted to check. If it does then I am in at the $850 mark.

Please let me know when you have a sec and thanks again for the post.

Warmest Regards,

I believe it does, is there a way I can check without opening it up? I pulled it out of a '74 car, and I know that the 74/75 cars did.
