Thanks, I had two shrouds to restore for my engine rebuild. My fellow Porsche friend suggested Mac's Distributing here in Sacramento ( 916-722-6227 ). I took in one of the unrestored shrouds and they helped me match the odd yellow color. I used their recommended primer, primer filler, paint, hardener & reducer. Both shrouds turned out great and I ended up using my original '73 shroud. Also, I used a 15mm socket & fiberglass materials to "re-round" the MFI adjustment access hole. All together, I spent about $110 in paint supplies but have enough leftover to do 4 -5 more shrouds. Spent alot of time on them, but that's the fun part ( for me anyway ). If it dosn't sell, it's cool wall art, here in my office.

Wow that looks great! What year(s) would that color be correct for a T?

Hi Mike, Porsche Pro, Tom Amon advised me that the shroud was from an early 911T. My 911T is a '73 and the grey oil cooler ducting is a bit different than the one pictured. On my '73 T shroud, the oil cooler duct is factory modified so the oil cooler could be accessed without taking off the entire MFI system & shroud. While both of these shrouds turned out great, I elected to use the '73 original shroud on my original engine rebuild. I'm guessing the vintage is 911T MFI 1971 or earlier.

correct for 72-73 T with MFI
73.5 is slightly different, only the oil cooler's duct is shorter, but would still work. |

Yes, a '71T has carburetors and a black shroud without the injector cutouts.
